Moving a grandfather clock requires more than strength. Its weights, pendulum, movement, glass and cabinet must be carefully prepared and protected throughout the relocation.
Our Grandfather Clock Transport service provides professional handling from the clock’s current location to its new home. We carefully break down and secure the clock, transport it upright, then reassemble, level and test it at the destination.
Your transport service includes:
- Professional breakdown of one standard grandfather clock
- Removal and protection of the weights, pendulum and removable components
- Protective wrapping (supplied by the customer) and secure transportation
- Transportation between locations up to five miles apart
- Reassembly and proper placement at the new location
- Leveling, setup and operational testing
Both locations must be within our normal service area and have ground-floor access with a safe, unobstructed path. Stairs, difficult access, oversized or unusually heavy clocks will require additional consideration and a custom quote by a 3rd party.
Mechanical repairs, replacement parts, case restoration and correction of pre-existing problems are not included. Any additional work will be discussed with you before proceeding.
